The best advice I can offer is get a good deal with your network so you get inclusive text messages, it's far more reliable than having to trust sites not to spam you and there's no catch unlike some of the sites listed here.
When web2txt first started out it was a free SMS website where you could send text messages to your friends and family for free, through time we changed into a ringtone site and we've since grown into a mp3 download provider with rights to legally sell millions of mp3 downloads!
We're still keeping it close to our humble free SMS site history and dedicate this page to the early days and all those who used us to send free text messages.

The following two websites both claim to let you send free text messages, whilst that is true the messages cost the person you're sending them to £5 therefore making them somewhat dishonest in my personal opinion.

The site claims you can send up to 600 free text messages a month at SMS Utopia. You can set the sender so messages appear to come from Santa or someone funny. This site claims you can send free SMS text messages without signing up, the pop ups and ads can be annoying, in order to send messages it appears you need to fill in a survey, kind of proving there is no such thing as a free lunch. Having had a quick look at their system I can see they get paid about $1 per survey meaning that if you have to fill in a survey per message you send they're onto a lush profit margin! Visit site...
